"MEANING WARM GLOWING PRAISE OR A FORMAL EXPRESSION OF ADMIRATION"

Encomia is our worship team within the church. Our vision is centred around High Voltage Worship which is part of ENC's DNA. In our worship we long to encounter God through the tangible presence of his Spirit. 

Using music, prayer, creative arts, story, action, silence and through the use of our bodies, minds and spirits we encounter God’s empowering presence and give him our praise and love.  We foster all kinds of creativity, from words and music to image and action. 

So far this has involved training musicians, reading poetry, writing lyrics, creating banners, making films and performing dance.  We also like to give space for the gifts of the Spirit to be exercised.

We have training days that include things such as; understanding modern charasmatic worship voice coaching, playing in the spirit, ensemble work, worship leading, choosing songs, rehearsing and establishing flow during a worship time and even song writing as we love to use original songs written within the church during our gatherings.

As part of encomia we have worship evenings where we focus on God and soak in His presence, giving Him our praise through things like music, prayer art, silence and soaking. These events are called IGNITE and the next one is coming soon.
