Our DNA
Heart:
The core of our lives is trusting Christ and joining in with what he is doing.
Breathing:
Whenever we gather together we breathe in Jesus to let him transform us
and when we disperse we breathe out Jesus so that the world will be transformed.
Rhythm:
We live through three emphases in the year.
Autumn we journey out and engage with the world around us
Spring we build up the community and grow up as Christians
Summer we rest, party and worship God. Of course, it doesn't always work this neatly.
Body:
The purpose of the church is to be Jesus to the world
The nature of the church is to be strong at the core and blurred at the edge
The dynamics of church are high voltage worship, wide angle community, deep end discipleship and long arm outreach
The power of the church is the Holy Spirit
The motivation of the church is love
Design:
Everyone gets to play in what Jesus is doing in the world. God has designed each one of us to play to our strengths, and we work out whether we are most at home with being Explorers, Artists, Broadcasters, Lovers or Communicators (see Ephesians 4)
Message:
The message of Jesus is: 'Turn around. God is close to you and wants to do good things in your life.' |
