At ENC we are always looking for God’s kingdom to come and his will be done ‘on earth as in heaven’. When God does wonderful things among us it changes everything.
Networks at ENC are groups of people who are committed to bring heaven to our patch of earth. There are many diverse ways of doing this, through prayer, Scripture, debt advice, football, the Alpha course, and many others.
ENC Food
ENC FOOD is for people who are hungry for more of God, who want to be nourished by his truth, and who are open to being challenged and changed by reading the Bible together.
We will get round the table and eat supper before digging in to the Scriptures and inviting the presence of God's Spirit to empower us to live out His truth in our everyday lives.

Firehouses
Firehouses are homes across the city, where once a week people gather for 45 minutes of white-hot prayer. We believe that prayer makes a difference, so, with Jesus at the centre, we are going to ignite prayer fires to fuel our future mission in the city. We want to:
- stir up hunger for God amongst us as a community
- receive more power for transformation
- remember again that we are people sent into the city

The Detox Course - Jo Soper
The Detox Course will run on Wednesday evenings after Easter. It includes a 1-1 prayer appointment which is a key part of the course. The 7 step process involves actively letting go of stuff that gets in the way, and grasping hold of freedom and truth going forwards.
Would you like to live life free to be who God says you are, and free to do what he has planned for you, get out of destructive thought patterns, and connect with God in a way that changes you? Register your interest here and we will be in touch!
Share Network - Andy & Jen Flannagan
Sharing needs, sharing stuff and sharing life. It would appear the New Testament church grew exponentially for 2 main reasons –
The wildness of the supernatural things happening in their midst
The fact that no-one regarded possesions as their own, so no-one was in need.
We all want to share more, but rarely get around to it. The strong pulls of our busy-ness and market forces (that are more than happy for us to choose the easier option of just owning everything ourselves) usually win.
Communion - Jon Soper
10.30am - 11am - Coffee and conversation
11am - 11.45am - Communion
Wherever you are with God, when you take communion, you are obeying Jesus' command, receiving grace and taking hold of what the ancients called the 'benefits of His passion'.
Come and join the communion network on a weekly basis. Meet with others, receive bread and wine, cleanse your soul, receive God's power and love and be strengthened and sent out to share the love of Christ wherever you go. This term we will be thinking about The Sermon On The Mount. Bring your friends, and we'll be inviting in shoppers from the High St to experience God's grace.
Launch - Tim Hurrell
We meet weekly around food (of course) then it’s a discussion, a real-life story or checking out a Bible story usually centred around the person of Jesus. He’s the best news on the planet and we aim to make learning about Jesus possible for anyone, it doesn’t matter if you’re a believer or not. We welcome honest questions and realise everyone is different and we are all Learners!

For Mums - Tabi Wallington & Lucy Pieterse
We're excited to be launching this daytime network and look forward to welcoming mums of primary aged children and under.
The plan is to meet at 4.30pm every Thursday at Tabi’s house. We'll provide a simple kids tea* and while they're being looked after by a few volunteers, we'll head to a separate room to spend some time sharing together, listening to God's voice and praying for each other.
Our prayer is that this will be an empowering space where you can meet with God.
*Please bring 50p per child
Street Conversations - Jesse Wilson
"Street Conversations" is a new network focused on engaging with people in the city and sharing the message of Jesus. We're all about creating meaningful connections, exploring life's big questions, and bringing hope to those we meet.
Our group meets monthly on Sundays from 12-2pm at ENC offices for coffee, training, and prayer. We then head out for an hour of conversations with people in the city about life, meaning, and purpose. Afterward, we gather for feedback and to share stories.
If you're interested in joining us, please do get in touch.
CAP - Liz Camp
CAP Exeter Debt Centre
We see lives transformed and order brought out of financial chaos as we help local people with their debt situation.
Recruiting for the Exeter visit team
Big-hearted people are needed for home visits with our debt coaches. Just 3 daytime appointments with any one client or family over a 6 week period. No financial expertise needed, but a friendly smile is important.
Pray-ers
CAP is a God-centred ministry so prayer is key. Monthly CAP Praystations are on zoom and in person. Or opt for our prayer email and pray independently for client visits and situations, and our debt coaches.
Re-Kindle - Paul & Betty Colsell
Have you ever considered going deeper with God? Come and join a small group of people for breakfast at Betty and Paul Colsell's. We will listen to talks by Tim Keller, a pastor and author who communicates the Bible insightfully to both Christian believers and sceptics. We will discuss as we go and have a high expectation that our faith and interest will be re-kindled.
Next Gen Prayer - Tabi Wallington & Owain Hadden
Join us to pray for children and young people. We long for children and young people to stand firm and to grow in their faith, despite an increasingly secular culture. We are so thankful for all that God is doing and we long that he would protect, strengthen each of them and fill them with his joy and peace.
We will spend time listening to what God is speaking over them and pray into that. We’d love to encourage every member of ENC to join us. It will only be 45 minutes long and once a month on zoom.
“They will be called Oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.” Isaiah 61:3
MID-Week SPARKLERS - Lauren Pritchard
Mid-week Sparklers is a toddler group for parents/carers to bring along their little ones. We meet at Southernhay United Reformed Church every Tuesday Morning in term time from 9.30am-11am.
It is £2 per family and there is a mix of free play, singing and crafts for the children and tea/coffee for the adults.
ABIDE - Gideon Griffiths
At ENC Youth we long for you as young people to know and experience the love of Jesus, and to go on an adventure with Him whilst building life-long friendships and creating great memories. We believe seeing heaven come to earth at Youth looks like a community of young believers coming together to pray & worship, to go after the gifts of the Spirit and to experience the presence of God in the everyday. Come and join in with this exciting adventure every Tuesday or get in contact to find out more.
Essence - Rich & Naomi Kelly
Essence is our 18-25yr olds' hub at ENC led by Rich and Naomi Kelly. We are a diverse mixture of students and young adults who are excited about following and knowing God and we are on a mission to reach people with His love!
Essence meets in term time at St Stephen's Church (starting on Thurs 21st Sept for this term), right in the centre of the city, on Thursday evenings at 7.15pm. We'd absolutely love you to come and join us for our nights of worship, teaching and equipping. Do follow our Instagram and Facebook page for other events like parties and food evenings where we meet a little earlier to eat together.
Women’s Swimming Network - Annie Morris & Katherine Austin
We're excited to build friendships and community as we meet to go swimming in the sea and local swimming spots. After the swim we hope to chat over coffee, and share stories and laughter together.
We meet fortnightly for a bigger swim together, while encouraging people to meet up in between in smaller groups. Everyone's welcome - Whether you've been wild swimming for years, or you're keen to try it for the first time. Bring your friends!
Monday Night Football - Doug Owen
We meet together every Monday evening for a friendly kick-about at St Peter's School Astro-Turf, 8pm-9pm (£2 per week). We also do the odd social, and occasionally a cheeky game against another church.
Ultimately we believe that through football, people can encounter the love of Jesus and have seen people come to faith through this group.
So, if you used to play pro or you've never touched a football before, you are all welcome.
Open House - David & Jane Edwards
The primary aim of Open House is to provide an opportunity for adults to spend a relaxed evening together in a host's home. By sharing food and drink, together our aim will be for guests to feel welcome and sufficiently relaxed to enter into conversations that will help to establish and strengthen supportive relationships through our church community. Bring your friends!
Prison Network - Iain Blackwell
Once a month we run the church services in the chapel of Exeter prison - worship, prayer, a bible reading, a short talk, and prayer ministry for any of the prisoners who would like to be prayed for. There are two services, across which we get anything from 20-40 men attending. Heaven on earth in the prison looks like an openness to healing, and "casting all our cares on Him, for he cares for you".
CHARIS @ enc - Helen Lach
At ENC we have a heavenly mandate to welcome the stranger. Charis @ ENC is a Network aiming to welcome and offer support to refugees who are settling in Exeter.
We have experience doing just this as part of a Community Sponsorship Group along with Belmont Church and Exeter Vineyard Church: Over the past 3 years we have welcomed 2 Syrian families and supported them in areas such as education, budgeting, befriending and teaching English. A rewarding and joyful experience!
Additional volunteers will be needed in the future when our third refugee family arrives. In the meantime our current families are keen to cook a Syrian meal for us, so if you are good at organising events, or if you would like to express an interest in being part of this Network more generally, please do sign up.
